Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear Live Blog

2:10 p.m.: Guests start to leave the venue, taking snaps of the still-seated models outside, most of whom are snapping the guests. Jacobs will have an encore performance of the show at 3:00 p.m. In the meantime, keep checking Replica Handbag Store Runway for Nicole Phelps’s review of the collectsion.

2:08 p.m.: Outdoors, models are still walking, but inside, Jacobs is taking his bow in a full-black look and a single gold chain necklace.

2:00 p.m.: The show starts promptly with a gray coat and miniskirt combination. There’s no music to be heard.

1:58 p.m.: Katy Perry has arrived.

1:56 p.m.: Amandla Stenberg arrives in a bright blue Marc Jacobs look and takes her seat in the front row. Technically, there’s only one row anyway, giving every guest an ideal view.

1:52 p.m.: Show notes placed on each seat mention New York’s hip-hop culture as a jumping-off point for the collectsion, as well as the liveliness of the streets of New York. They also ask that no social media be posted . . . let’s see if that holds up.

1:46 p.m.: Guests are staring to arrive to the Park Avenue Armory for the Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 show. As has become the norm, Jacobs starts his show promptly at 2:00 p.m., so any lingering attendees would be wise to take their seats fast. And about those seats—they are numbered folding chairs in a single row.
