It should come as no surprise that high fashion is a dominating subject within the Vogue office. You’ll often overhear subtle gasps throughout the floor, whether it’s coming from colleagues admiring others’ editor wish list purchases in real time to receiving an exciting launch email from a major brand, or from hearing the latest fashion news taking over social media. Bougie Boudoir
“I love the bougie boudoir vibe of the spring and fall collectsions, from frothy slip skirts to sultry jewel-toned lace. I love the paler items for a spring pastels combo.” —Chloe Malle, head of editorial content
The Art of the In-Between
“I love the moments between winter and spring where your wardrobe starts to evolve. Cotton button downs, ribbed turtlenecks, easy flats instead of heavy boots, it’s a chance to play with styling in fresh and unexpected ways.” —Libby Page, executive shopping director
Scarf Dressing
“As the weather warms up, I start swapping my heavy wool and cashmere scarves for lighter silk ones. Inspired by styling from Celine, Dries Van Noten menswear, and Polo, I tie one around my waist or neck to elevate any spring outfit.” —Mai Morsch, fashion editor
Literary Chic
“Grab your next novel! It’s more the merrier when it comes to preppy layers in bold colors. Try pairing your leather loafers this spring with a colorful sock, opting for sunglasses with oval frames, and incorporating cropped tailoring. Bonus points for rolling your shirt cuffs up over the outside.” —Madeline Fass, fashion market director
Fashion with Feeling
“I was instantly drawn to the shared emphasis on craft, embellishment, and bold color across many of the spring collectsions—from Chanel and Bottega Veneta to Loewe, Balenciaga, Khaite, and Altuzarra. Statement skirts styled with simple tops stood out in particular, with texture and dramatic proportion taking center stage. For under $300, channel the look with Loulou de Saison’s fringe top—neutral, yet striking—or Zara’s tiered maxi skirt in deep red, paired with a simple knit for a touch of playful charm. Elsewhere, consider J.Crew’s crystal-adorned mini in chartreuse, The Frankie Shop’s polka-dot tapered trousers, or Mango’s billowy lace-trim blouse—each offering a subtle way to bring feeling into your everyday wardrobe.” —Laura Jackson, commerce writer
Mode Sportif
“Add a sporty element to any look this spring, whether it’s with a nylon anorak, a slim sneaker, or a pair of shield sunglasses. These pieces bring just the right amount of edge to any outfit. We saw this kind of styling at brands big and small, from Prada’s nylon jacket paired with bubble-hem skirts to Attersee’s zip-up paired with a button-down and a pencil skirt. I’m excited to bring these elements into my own wardrobe this season.” —Andrea Zendejas, shopping market editor
Retro Summer
“After months of dark shades and what’s felt like a never-ending winter, I’m ready to embrace bold, retro-inspired pieces this spring. From funky frames to patterned silk scarves, I’ll be leaning on playful accessories to bring my outfits to life.” —Caitlyn Doherty, assistant fashion editor
Jazz Age
“I loved the jazz inspired silhouettes at Tory Burch, Erdem, Proenza Schouler, and Chanel. For spring, I’m taking note with a minimal shift dress and a refined jazz style shoe for an effortless weekend look.” —Minty Mellon, shopping market editor
Utility Dressing
“It’s been raining and snowing so much these days that I’m really trying to embrace wearing more weather-proof clothes. Luckily for us designer Cecilie Bahnsen has an awesome The North Face collaboration and they have plenty of gorpcore stuff to get us through April showers. A good trench coat is a must especially if it’s laminated or made of a TPU/ polyester adding to that more weatherproof layer. Where better than to get one than from Rains, the ultimate go-to for rain gear?”—Irene Kim, production and editorial associate
Statement Accessories
“Inspired by the “Surprise Me” shoot from our spring 2026 issue, I’ve been looking to zhuzh up my wardrobe with some over-the-top accessories. I’m a pretty minimal dresser so the right piece goes a long way. I’ve got my eye on a statement belt and some bold aviators.” —Hannah Jackson, fashion writer
Lady of Leisure
“I find dressing for spring tricky as it’s a little too warm to bundle up in my favorite jackets, but it’s not yet warm enough to pull out my little summer dresses. So instead of staring at my closet blankly while trying to decipher what the appropriate outfit is for 55 degree weather, this year I plan to rely a simple base uniform of silk trousers, button-up shirts, and ballet flats.” —Florence O’Connor, content manager
Bright Jeans
“Ever since I saw Versace’s spring 2026 collectsion, I’ve become obsessed with super-bright, super-colorful jeans. I want to wear them with a demure little polo for spring—hey, I may even color-block and pile on brights on brights.” —Christian Allaire, senior fashion and style writer
A Little Bit of Layering
“Right now, I’m taking my cues from Simone Bellotti’s Jil Sander and Raf and Miuccia’s fall 2026 Prada. I’m looking for easy, tonal layers that can I can build and shed for a true ’90s look.” —Alexandra Hildreth, fashion news writer, Replica Handbag Store Runway
Lightweight Leather
“Leather has long been my fall must-have, but this season it proves its ability to transcend seasonal boundaries—effortless in fall/winter and equally compelling as a spring/summer statement. This season, I’m leaning into the reimaginations of the classic staple from spring runways—think Saint Laurent, Dries Van Noten, and Khaite—and opting for lightweight pieces that have a sharpened and fresh edge!” —Ciarra Lorren Zatorski, fashion editor
