All the Best-Dressed Stars at Men’s Fashion Week

The fall 2025 menswear season began with several of Milan’s most prominent brands–Gucci, Fendi, JW Anderson, Moschino, DSquared2, and Versace–conspicuously absent from the schedule. The shows, as a result, have seen fewer headline-grabbings appearances from celebrities than usual, while those guests in attendance seemed more restrained, offering fewer of the viral soundbites that magazine editors like to chase before the house lights dim. Is it down to an industry still reeling from the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, or has culture finally graduated from the “What’s your ick?” style of front-row reporting? There’s nothing wrong with a boldface cameo, of course, but perhaps we could all do without seeing another Netflix star strong-armed into naming the soundtrack to their lives.

I arrived at the Prada show with a list of such questions, but was quietly grateful when Harris Dickinson, Louis Patridge, and Joseph Quinn politely demurred, conserving their time for Mrs. P and Raf Simons only. While a fashion week co-sign can often serve as a profile-boosting exercise, it appeared as though these guests were invited primarily to appreciate, and animate, the clothes themselves. (Let’s see how long this lasts.) Elsewhere, Giorgio Armani enlisted Cooper Koch, Adrien Brody, and Joe Alwyn as pop cultural ambassadors, while James McAvoy popped up at Dolce & Gabbana and Mads Mikkelsen at Zegna.
