Fall Is Here and It’s Time to Upgrade Your Sock Drawer

With sandal season over and boot, clog, and loafer season in full swing, it’s time to get your sock drawer in order. After all, a new pair of fall shoes would not be complete without the right socks to go with them– even shearling slides could use a cute sock! They might be small, but socks are an important styling basic, no matter how you choose to wear them.

To start, you’ll need a nice pair of ankle socks, the ideal height for peeping out of loafers and mules. Be sure to have knee-highs in your repertoire, too; a simple pair is perfect under over-the-knee boots, while a prepster argyle print is an ideal match for the season’s mini skirts. Clog fans will love rustic wool versions that will look just right with a pair, too. Dainty fine ribbed silk socks are a chic way to accessorize for minimalists, while more abstract patterns and color-block styles will be sure to satisfy more dialed-in accessory heads.
