Kelly Wearstler Gemma tray in cerused wood, $1,150, kellywearstler.com1/7For Kelly Wearstler, crystals are practically part of her brand DNA. In her L.A. studio, she has drawers full of them that she’s personally shopped for during her travels. “They add a special energy to the designs and I love the tension that comes from playing with such a rich range of textural materials. Crystals are inherently alluring,” says Wearstler.
Ha’vanah Star “Golden Temple” mandala, $251, havanastar.com2/7Hope Bramald, the founder of Australian-based Ha’vanah Star, creates each of her framed mandalas to order using metal and hand-selected crystals. “A lot of energetic healing and intention is behind these, which is why I prefer to make to order,” says Bramald, “ . . . so I can energetically sit in space and tailor these to their new home/owner.” She suggests hanging her mandalas in a sacred space in the home (possibly an area that’s dedicated to meditation), though anywhere that it can be seen and admired works well.

4/7For the Platonic Solids series, lighting designer Jason Koharik has partnered with his twin brother Jonathon Koharik (whose extensive knowledge of crystals and the science behind them is impressive, to put it mildly), on a range of six cast-bronze sconces based on sacred shapes. Each is inlayed with various forms of quartz that are hand selected and cut by Jonathon. Based on this information alone, these symbolism-filled fixtures make for good energy in the home. However, the Kohariks have gone a step further, adding an oscillating wave coil that silently broadcasts a 12-to-15-hertz frequency, which is much closer to Earth’s natural frequency. “They create a little bubble of nature’s frequency in your home,” explains Jonathon.
Kristen Leigh Baker selenite and gold crescent on Lucite wall hanging, $650, kristenleighbaker.com5/7For designer Kristen Baker, feathers have a spiritual and healing quality that she’s been drawn to since she was a child. That interest eventually evolved into the sculptural feather wall hangings that she’s known for, and in recent months, she’s introduced quartz and selenite crystals into the mix. “I’ve been studying crystal properties, sacred geometry, and tarot as a way to create artwork that has profound meaning,” says Baker. “I feel our homes are our sacred space, so we should adorn and fill them with things that rejuvenate, heal, and inspire us.”
Anna by Rablabs Dourado candlesticks in rose quartz, $405, (annanewyork.com)[https://www.annanewyork.com/collectsions/tabletop/products/dourado-candlesticks]6/7Since founding her homewares brand Rablabs in 2002, Anna Rabinowicz has witnessed the trend toward using natural materials in the home evolve in a big way. The ancient meanings of crystals inform how she designs her collectsion, which include everything from small-scale accent piece to tables. “Crystal is part of the quartz family, and it forms within the Earth inside hot hydrothermal veins, which are deposits of naturally rare materials. Each piece that I design with crystal is imbued with the history and the mystery of the origin of this magical material, brought from deep inside the Earth to transform our daily lives,” says Rabinowicz.
