Not your typical beach club, Entalula is quiet, secluded and pristine—it's totally untouched save for a few cabanas fitted with hammocks and a beach bar. We read, napped, swam and enjoyed the tropical sun showers and a picnic of grilled fish with vegetables and steamed rice in banana leaves.

El Nido Resorts is big on environmental preservation and does a great job of educating guests on how best to avoid disturbings the balance of the island's underwater ecosystem.

In fact, we found that the best way to access almost anything in the area is by kayak. We took the kayak out most days to explore the islands and usually ended up stumbling on a gorgeous beach or lagoon where we were often completely alone.
