Her Majesty the Queen of England is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee this weekend, and there’s already been plenty to watch from afar. First, Prince Louis, the youngest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, stole the show at Trooping the Colour with his instantly-memeable reactions to the noise of the flyover. Almost as notable was his mother’s pristine Alexander McQueen coat dress and sapphire earrings which previously belonged to Princess Diana.
Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, also returned to England for the first time as a family since they moved to California. On day two of the celebrations, Meghan looked elegant in a white Dior belted dress and saucer-like fascinator.
The first of June also kicked off Pride month. With parades taking place around the world, there’s never been a better time to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. Also on the first of the month, people remembered the life and legacy of Marilyn Monroe on what would have been her 95th birthday.
Finally, the designer Steven Stokey Daley of S. S. Daley was awarded the prestigious LVMH prize in Paris this week. The designer, whose work has been worn by Harry Styles, wins 300,000 euros and a year of mentorship.
