To Celebrate the Latest Bags From Polo Ralph Lauren, Ladies Lunched at the San Vicente Bungalows

In the midst of awards-season chaos, an elegant lunch in the private dining room of the San Vicente Bungalows, to celebrate the launch of new Polo Ralph Lauren accessories, was a welcome respite—just ask any of the brand’s A-list devotees who spent last Thursday afternoon sipping rosé and lunching on bites of chopped salad.

Each attendee had one in tow but found their own unique way to style it accordingly. “I grew up visiting my grandparents in Kalispell, Montana, where there were amazing thrift and vintage stores. The best thing you could discover there was a vintage Ralph Lauren flannel or belt, and I continue to be on the hunt always for great Ralph Lauren pieces. I’m pretty minimal right now, but I love a match-y moment,” said Zoey Deutch, dressed in a black sailor-inspired blazer, black pointed-toe pumps, white blouse, white pants, and a white Bellport bag from the new Polo collectsion.

Sitting next to her was friend Emma Roberts, who styled her white Sloane bag with a calf-length white dress, southwestern belt, and tan suede booties. “Their dresses are so wearable for every day or getting dressed up. It’s hard to find a line you can wear for a casual day look as well as an event,” said Roberts. The pair snapped selfies in between the zucchini noodles and vegetable-medley entrée and the lemon meringue dessert while discussing their upcoming travel plans and which shows they’ll attend at Fashion Week.

Others in attendance to celebrate the launch included Camilla Belle, Kathryn Newton, Hunter Schafer, and Djuna Bel-Rowe, all wearing casually elegant ensembles—mostly in blue and white, the theme of the afternoon—accented with the new bags. However, Indya Moore perhaps had the best styling tips. “I’m wearing this white crochet dress from Ralph Lauren with a necklace I bought from someone who makes jewelry in South Africa—it’s made from seeds from a tree—but after this, I’ll use the bag with a nice ripped jean and crop top,” said Moore. “I’ve always appreciated how dynamic the Ralph Lauren brand is. They have something for everyone, which makes fashion more palatable and less intimidating.”
