Proenza Schouler Helped Charleston It Store Hampden Celebrate 15 Years

Those looking for the best curation of contemporary fashion in Charleston know to look no further than Hampden. Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez seemed to be among those in-the-know and so they hopped down to South Carolina to help the fashion boutique, founded by Stacy Smallwood, celebrate its 15th anniversary.

First on the 2-day itinerary was a welcome dinner on John’s Island. Guests like Lynn Yaeger and Mickey Boardman arrived just as the sun set and enjoyed a locally-inspired menu of heirloom crab rice and barbecue lamb ribs.

The following day, the group plus some of Hampden’s VIPs were treated to a runway show filled with looks from Proenza Schouler’s Fall 2022 collectsion. The location? Hampden’s freshly made-over distribution center was transformed into a pop-up shop and fashion show venue. More of the guests included Gigi Burris, Blair Eadie, Jaimie Dewberry, Danielle Prescod, and Gabrielle Prescod. It was a perfect way to fete the beloved store and shopping some Proenza was the icing on top.
