Paris may have wrapped weeks ago, but the runway season isn’t over just yet. Shanghai Fashion Week brought its own eclectic point of view to the fall 2026 collectsions, with each label adding its own twists to the season’s burgeoning trends. Designers like Yirantian offered svelte takes on suiting, while Markgong’s woman got sexed up for an online date and Shushu/Tong leaned into its It-girl archetype. All the while, bold accents, like electric pops of color or textural play, brought many of the week’s collectsions to life.
Furry Friends
Whether you prefer leopard and cheetah spots, or bird feathers, animal prints and textures added a wild touch to this season’s runways. The trick to not making it feel too retro? Going all-in.
Princess Pinks and Cherry Reds
Candied colors are in for fall—Shanghai runways from Susan Fang to Shuting Qiu—were filled with pinks and reds that looked good enough to eat, or at least to brighten up your autumnal wardrobe.
On the Fringe
Designers like Oude Waag and Xu Zhi added depth and texture to their collectsions through a flash of fringe. The peppy textile isn’t a bad way to catch a street style photographer’s eye, either.
Unfinished Business
The skirt suit. Is it sexy, serious, simple? Why not all three?
