My name is Pink and I’m really glad to meet you” is how PinkPantheress opened her Coachella set last night, kicking things off with her super-bop “Illegal.” Of course, the huge, screaming crowd of fans were already well aware of exactly who she was.

Thanks to her second mixtape, 2025’s Fancy That, the British singer has enjoyed a stellar year. Continuing into the first quarter of 2026, hitting Coachella Valley has been a real cherry on top. “It feels surreal, but kinda prefect timing,” says PinkPantheress. “I feel really secure about the world I’ve built with this last album, so it’s really exciting to have it come to life.”

PinkPantheress has been taking her record out on the road with her biggest production yet. It primed her for a curatedly chaotic, energetic Coachella set—still, it still took some serious preparation. “We started rehearsing about two weeks out, which is low-key a super tight prep time, but all the music prep and ideation started months ago,” says PinkPantheress, who turned the stage into one big dance party with cameos from The Dare, HorsegiirL, and Tyriq Withers, no less. “It was a bit hectic at times, but everything really fell together in the final hour. I was aiming for a really cinematic experience—I wanted people to feel like they went to the theater.”

There were moments of pure Broadway-worthy acting that she added into the show. “I really loved the pre-‘Pain’ dialogue between my lovely dancers Ava & Nerita,” she says. “It’s one of the more tame dramatics of the show, but it felt so sweet acting out that particular scene with my girls.” The star adds that finding new, innovative ways to adapt her songs for the stage has been one of her favorite parts of touring in general. “Keeping the wheels turning on how to plate these songs through live performance was one of the most intricate, but fulfilling experiences of my career,” says PinkPantheress.

For her performance fashions, the musician and producer wanted to channel a filmic energy—so-called ‘cinematic club wear,’ specifically. The star, styled by Coco Fontaine, donned a cobalt blue blazer and baggy jeans, which eventually revealed a plaid bra top underneath—tartan princess vibes by way of Miss Claire Sullivan (who also dressed Addison Rae in a brilliant pink tutu) and custom Victoria’s Secret. “We were going for a bit of a club twist on the traditional Fancy That attire,” says PinkPantheress. A blazer and jeans to the club? Very early 2010s business-casual in a regional English town–very P.P.

If you missed PinkPantheress at Coachella, fret not: You can also catch her continuing her tour through the summer. “I’m always excited to see how our show transforms and grows each run,” says PinkPantheress. And how is she keeping herself in check on the road? “When it comes to staying sane, I rely on my friends to recenter, and just try to have some days to myself to just decompress and do something fun,” she says. “I have so many fun little pit stops planned for tour, like Disney World, escape rooms—obviously—and having my friends come to different cities to mix things up.” Can we expect any crazy switch-ups for weekend two of Coachella? “Now that’s a secret I can’t tell.”
