What happens when Zendaya and Dolce & Gabbana rendezvous in Capri? Elevated headscarf moments, apparently. The singer and beauty muse took a trip to the Italian isle for a colorful day of shooting for #DGMillennials—the brand’s forthcoming Summer 2017 campaign—sampling pasta, gelato, and classic Dolce & Gabbana accessories. Rather than the opulent crowns and blooms that bedecked models’ hair on the Spring 2017 runway, Zendaya’s two takes on headscarves offered effortless day-to-night options, each wearable, classic, and fun.
The first version featured a bright floral motif, which casually crowned the CoverGirl’s free-flowing brunette lengths for a throwback, by-the-sea look that played well with a pair of oversize sunglasses. But a quick switch of the scarf brought a look that was decidedly bold: a nighttime-ready swath of fabric was knotted over Zendaya’s low bun, to Carmen Miranda-esque effect, a similarity the singer embraced with a tap of the tambourine. A pair of sumptuous earrings—and a cool, careless attitude—finished the ensemble. Here’s looking forward to a festive spring.
