“Elevated and edgy” is always the mission over at R13 headquarters, where designer Chris Leba lives and breathes that motto. A lot of items in R13’s collectsions stay the same season to season, from the plaid shirting to the cool leather jackets. But for every collectsion Leba tries his hand at something new that will eventually grow to become a part of the R13 essentials collectsion. This time the item was the fencing-inspired shirt that came with a slightly cropped hemline and ultra tailored fit. It paired well with collectsion’s fitted tailored vests and blazers that came in an assortment of prints and textiles.

After the success of last season’s pajamas, Leba had the idea to go full force on the concept of elevated sleepwear. “I decided to make the ultimate pair of pajamas,” he said. A red tartan iteration mimicked the look of a two-piece suit with the feel of ultimate comfort.
