Amanda Carow Roosevelt Morgan’s Center Island Wedding

Amanda Roosevelt Morgan and Sam Alexander Neckar’s romance started in the most academic of settings. “We met at Oxford University,” says the bride. Fast-forward six years, and Sam was getting down on one knee on the other side of the world while the two were based in Myanmar for work. The wedding could only take place on Long Island, though—a setting that has always felt like home. “It’s a place of many happy memories,” says Amanda.

    Thirty30 Creative, founded by our good friends Chris Owen and Victoria Tang-Owen in Hong Kong, designed and printed all of our invitations, menus, ceremony booklets, and place settings. They did a wonderful job, and their attention to detail was incredible.

    Sam had both of our rings made in Myanmar, while we were living there. This is where he proposed too. He took me to a remote Beach on the Bay of Bengal for our anniversary. We went for a walk at sunset, and he got down on one knee. He distracted me by pointing out wildlife, and when I looked back, he was asking me to get married.
