Photo: Geremy Dubensky2/60The whole design process was very collaborative, inspired by a poem, “Goblin Market,” by Christina Rossetti. Zac originally draped it with the real-life flower foliage from his house upstate that later became the embroidery for the dress. It was not lace—rather entirely fine rose-color silk tulle, so it was extremely delicate. The embroidered flowers were all hand-sewn pressed silk that sat under the tulle.

Photo: Aria Isadora10/60The dress had a 15-foot detachable train that had light green ferns embroidered around the edges, based on the natural foliage that Zac was draping with at his house in Pennsylvania.

Photo: Aria Isadora13/60Brittany Asch, of Brrch, came up with the most beautiful, timeless flowers to match my dress and the space. In addition to the bouquets for myself and the bridesmaids, she also created giant trees entirely made of flowers that encircled Jonah and I and Eleanor Friedberger on the 3-foot stage where the ceremony took place.

Photo: BFA30/60Our friends Connan Mockasin, Andrew Vanwyngarden the frontman of MGMT, James Richardson guitarist of MGMT played live during the ceremony with a full string quartet and arrangements created by musician and artist Alex Waterman. Jonah walked down with both of his parents, then his 12 groomsmen, then Arden's 22 bridesmaids. Connan sang 2 original songs "I am the man that will find you" and "choade". Andrew Vanwyngarden sang a cover of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" when Arden came down the aisle with both of her parents. James Richardson sang "All Night Long" by Spectrum a former member of Spacemen 3.
Photo: Thomas Northcut31/60Eleanor Friedberger, formerly the singer for the Fiery Furnaces, officiated the wedding. We wrote our own vows. It was a cosmic and psychedelic experience.
Photo: Aria Isadora32/60The ceremony surpassed my every expectation; it was absolutely breathtaking.

Photo: Aria Isadora40/60We wanted to create a river of flowers on the tables that gave the sense that they might run off in either direction and creating movement. Brittany and I have collaborated together before when I have entertained, so we already had a strong working relationship. She knows my aesthetic and came to see the space early on.
