Entering an abandoned home, particularly one that was once astoundingly grand, is a bit like shining a light onto the dark corners of the mind—an assault of faded laughter and lost moments manifested in torn wallpaper, cracked glass, and chipped paint. “I was always intrigued by old architecture and buildings, and when they’re abandoned, the mystery entices me to explore,” says Bryan Sansivero.
