Tonight in New York the Council of Fashion Designers of America holds its annual awards show at the Brooklyn Museum, and it’s the first year Tom Ford is serving as chairman. With comedians Hasan Minhaj and Jessica Williams hosting the event, the evening will honor the creative forces who are currently defining American fashion: Womenswear designer of the year nominees include star talents such as Marc Jacobs, Rosie Assoulin, and Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, while menswear designers of the year include Virgil Abloh, Rick Owens, and Thom Browne.
