A Midsummer Night’s Dream: This Bride Wore Custom Giambattista Valli for Her Wedding in the Hamptons
Photo: Jose Villa1/51We worked with the incredibly talented team at De Gournay to create our save the dates, which helped inform the aesthetic of the paper items, ceremony, and reception decor.
Photo: Jose Villa2/51It was truly a dream to be able to work with Raf Simons and the visionary team at Calvin Klein by Appointment. I have always admired the modern femininity of Raf’s designs.
Photo: Jose Villa3/51Taking it all in.

Photo: Jose Villa9/51For our amuse-bouche course, we served cheesesteaks as an ode to Lee’s Philadelphia roots. We loved the juxtaposition of the formal backdrop with the Philly delicacy!

Photo: Jose Villa12/51From the very beginning, we liked the idea of a wedding at home. For us, there is nothing more special than the idea of having our loved ones share this moment in such an intimate setting.
Photo: Jose Villa13/51There was something so special about getting ready in my childhood bedroom.
Photo: Jose Villa14/51I have always loved the timeless elegance of Giambattista Valli’s designs. Wanting my dress to reflect the romance and ease of the evening, I was immediately drawn to the vintage eyelet lace and hand-embroidered lily of the valley. It was me in a dress!
Photo: Jose Villa15/51Happy feet! I found the perfect two-inch white satin slides from Manolo Blahnik.

Photo: Jose Villa17/51It had been raining earlier that day. An hour before the ceremony began, the sun appeared, casting the most beautiful light.
Photo: Jose Villa18/51The bouquet! Inspired by the embroidered lily of the valley, Putnam & Putnam created the most beautiful bouquet wrapped in pale pink ribbon to match my dress.

Photo: Jose Villa21/51Before the wedding ceremony, our rabbi gathered our families and wedding party together for the ketubah signing. It was such a special moment for us to be surrounded by so much love.
Photo: Jose Villa22/51Such a loving moment between Lee and his parents.
Photo: Jose Villa23/51Upon arrival, our guests made their way through the rose garden and down to the aisle.
Photo: Jose Villa24/51My maid of honor, Sari, and I moments before walking down the aisle.
Photo: Jose Villa25/51The incredible Putnam & Putnam team lined the aisle of zelkova trees with wild grasses, delphinium, baby’s breath, and lisianthus.

Photo: Jose Villa28/51My bridesmen: Gregg Cohenca, Cody Levine, Jeffrey Gendelman, and of course, Simba!
Photo: Jose Villa29/51Only smiles as the groom walks down the aisle.
Photo: Jose Villa30/51Just before I walked down the aisle, my beloved parents met me at the edge of the rose garden.
Photo: Jose Villa31/51A sacred moment between me and my dad that I will cherish forever.
Photo: Jose Villa32/51As I walked down the aisle to meet my parents, I was overwhelmed with emotion. The love was truly palpable. Lee stood at the end of the chuppah waiting to meet me as the sun glistened over him, creating a natural spotlight.
Photo: Jose Villa33/51Our chuppah was covered in overgrown ivy and garden roses.
Photo: Jose Villa34/51My beautiful bridesmaids wore romantic floral dresses with small bouquets of olive leaves, garden roses, lisianthus, and aster.
Photo: Jose Villa35/51Although our ceremony was rooted in tradition, our incredible rabbi, Angela Buchdahl, created an experience that was so warm and personal, reflecting the foundation and values of our relationship.
Photo: Jose Villa36/51They clean up well.
Photo: Jose Villa37/51My heart.
Photo: Jose Villa38/51Husband and wife! Beaming with joy, we walked down the aisle as newlyweds to “Married Life.”
Photo: Jose Villa39/51Just married!
Photo: Jose Villa40/51After the cocktail hour, we wanted our guests to feel as if they were walking back into our home as they entered our reception. Inspired by De Gournay, the walls of our tent were painted to look like wallpaper, and the tables were filled with sterling silver candelabras that illuminated the night.
Photo: Jose Villa41/51Inspired by the romanticism of the lush gardens, we loved the idea of embroidering the linens with a floral R, and our menus were embossed with lily of the valley.
Photo: Jose Villa42/51The dinner tables were filled with overgrown floral arrangements with pops of seasonal citrus fruits inspired by still-life paintings.
Photo: Jose Villa43/51The cake!
Photo: Jose Villa44/51Dessert included a selection of our favorite cakes, topped with delicate flowers and overgrown ivy, and fresh fruit pies. Three of the cakes were topped with wedding toppers—one from our wedding, one from my parents’ wedding, and one from Lee’s parents’ wedding. Although it was a small detail, it was incredibly sentimental as it represented the importance of family in both of our lives.
Photo: Jose Villa45/51“Could It Be I’m Falling in Love?” Lee curated our favorite selection of love songs, which played throughout dinner.
