Models, Actors, and Athletes Turned Out for GQ and Christian Louboutin’s Packed NYFW Party

The ambiance was everything red: red lights, red couches, and red soles. In short, it was your classic Christian Louboutin affair, and this time they did hosting duties with GQ.

Held in the basement club of NoHo hotspot Jean's, the party was a celebration of New York Fashion Week ("Thank god it's almost over," a few weary guests quipped) and Christian Louboutin's Astroloubi collectsion.

Many stylish guests like CT Hedden arrived in the ’90s basketball-inspired sneaker style, a welcome change of pace from heels for many after long days running around in between appointments and parties.

"I have to say, for being a drag queen—I've worked with Louboutin before and shoved my big hoove in heels—I am here in drag, in sneakers, and I have never been more comfortable, I'm not even wearing socks," Hedden tells Vogue.

The room was your classic GQ mix of actors and models plus many athletes like NBA star Royce O'Neale of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who looked dapper in leather Bottega Veneta and the Astrloubi shoes (the sneakers were first unveiled during a Paris Men's Fashion Week event this summer and officially launched a few weeks ago).

As the night went on, the space grew tighter as guests packed inside and were greeted by GQ editors Will Welch (sporting his own dressy black Christian Louboutins) and Sam Hine while others hung out by the bar for some Jack Daniels cocktails.

Actor Darren Barnet took a seat at the back in one of the plush couches next to the DJ booth. "They're one of my number one go-to dress shoes to wear with a suit," he says of his Louboutin pair. "I just did a photoshoot for their new sneakers, and I love them; they're very versatile, you can dress them up or down."
