With Comic-Con 2014 having just wrapped, we got to thinking—what if modern-day heroines and villainesses had current fashion in their wardrobes? From a newly female Thor at Marvel to a (possible) Sith Warrior Lupita Nyong’o in Star Wars, here are our picks from recent collectsions should any of these leading ladies feel the need for a little retail therapy after a long day’s fight.

The trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 dropped over the weekend, and in it we get a brief glimpse of Jennifer Lawrence in her winning turn as Katniss. Her look is a bit rougher-hewn this time around—she is, after all, leading a bottom-up rebellion against The Man from a forgotten precinct known as District 13. Chunky knit scarves are the new black!

What with the rebel uprising and all, Katniss is pretty confident in defying the Capitol’s colorful conventions with this cozy, lumpen knit from Michael Kors.

This look says: “I’ve been to the puppet show and seen the strings. (And I still look great in a scarf.)”

Once all this fighting and rebelling is done, Katniss and Peeta are planning to move to Brentwood, where, on cooler nights, she’ll pull this out and throw it on to reminisce about "where she came from." (What she’ll conclude: Started from the bottom, now we here, wearing The Row.)
Photo: Everett Collection5/24Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in The Avengers: Age of Ultron
There are two words for Johansson’s turn as Black Widow in the latest Avengers: alluringly lethal. She proves day in and day out that a skintight catsuit needn’t be vampy; in fact, it’s almost sexier when it’s borderline conservative.

This is for Scar Jo’s character when, say, the fifteenth sequel comes out (and let’s just say everyone’s a bit older).

And for this, three words: KICK. ASS. COCKTAIL.

Anthony Vaccarello might as well get a costume designer credit here.

You heard this correctly: Thor, the Norse God, is now going to be a woman. (Well played, Marvel.)

This collectsion is chock-full of Thor-like qualities: power, fleetness, a profound desire to wear heavy metal.

In which the term Ladykiller gets a whole new meaning.

Fun fact: The metalwork seen in **David Koma’**s debut collectsion for the house of Mugler is a subtle nod to **Thierry’**s famed steel corsetry, which would have served this new Thor very, very well.

When gasoline is more valuable than human life, who might we expect to save captive women in dystopian, futuristic Australia? Charlize Theron sans luscious locks, of course! She’ll soon take on the role of a totally shorn Imperator Furiosa in the new prequel of Mad Max.

Who knew that taking a wrong turn in the post-apocalyptic outback could lead to an abandoned Marc Jacobs shop?

Part babe. Part bionic. One hundred percent Balmain badassery.

We’re crossing our fingers for a villainous Lupita Nyong’o in next year’s return of the Star Wars saga. If rumors prove true, the dark side may very well be strong not only with Nyong’o’s character, but with her closet as well.

May the force be with this top.

In a galaxy far, far away, even bad girls should wear star-quality gowns.

Zoë Saldana plays an orphaned alien turned assassin turned hero in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. With the announcement of a sequel at Comic-Con—before the movie has even been released, mind you—Saldana is proving she looks very, very smart in Avatar-esque roles. (Though this time, she’s green, not blue.)

After a grueling space battle, sometimes a girl just wants to feel—dare we say?—sexy.

Simons + Saldana = a really sweet suit. Plus, those gloves, though.

Vibrant. Just like her hair. And skin. And attitude. I think you get the point.
