“For Fall 2019, the theme was magic and superstition. Facetasm wanted me to include various objects related to this, such as the cat, aliens, and eyes, so I started playing around with [them], combining them in new ways and with everyday objects, or underscoring the stereotypical perception of [these objects.]”

“For Spring 2019, the theme was youth–[Hiromichi Ochiai] asked me to look at the Danish youth and their DIY pieces. That is how the beer-can opener earring emerged. From there on I started thinking of what connects youth universally and came up with my personal sub-theme: alcohol, drugs and sex.”
