Last Night, Stationery Line Dear Annabelle Launched With an Upper East Side Cocktail Party

Per Marcie Pantzer, it’s always best to put it in writing—so she launched her very own line of stationery, Dear Annabelle. Through her products, Pantzer aims to preserve the art of meaningful, tangible exchange via handwritten correspondence. And to celebrate, last night, Pantzer invited dozens of her dearest friends across the fashion, art, and editorial worlds to a cocktail party, inviting all to toast (and browse) the newly launched brand.

Held in Pantzer’s tony uptown apartment, replete with views of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park, the party felt as intimate as a handwritten note. Guests—including Aerin Lauder, Meredith Melling, and LoveShackFancy’s Rebecca Cohen—sipped on Veuve and Patron mini margaritas and snacked on truffled grilled cheeses, créme fraîche and caviar–topped potato chips, and itty-bitty hamburgers almost too picturesque to eat.

Inside the dining room was a candlelit scene of roses, dahlias, and French tulips, with the notecard and notepad collectsions (embossed with “Merci Beaucoup” and “You Rock”) tucked in between blooms.

“I just wanted to encourage a bit more of that old-school sentiment of letter-writing,” said Pantzer on the motivation for the project, named after her own daughter. “You’re never going to remember that text in 20 years, but if you hold onto a love letter or a sweet note from a friend, it will always have more tangible meaning.”

An added treat: A percentage of Dear Annabelle’s sales are donated to One Tree Planted, a Vermont-based initiative dedicated to global reforestation.
