Heidi Klum’s Annual Halloween Party

Every year the public waits with baited breath to see what mind-turning illusion Heidi Klum will contort herself in for Halloween. Last year she wormed her way onto the red carpet in a look that took 2 years to create. This year, the model took a more winged approach as a peacock, complete with a carefully choreographed entrance that ruffled feathers in the best way possible. Not to be outdone, Klum’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, dressed as an egg—a perfect match made in Halloween Heaven. The party took place at the Marquee in New York, where celebrities flocked near and far in their best costumes. Peacocking was highly encouraged and those lucky to get an invite did not disappoint. - Lauren Sanchez

Michael Braun and Vas Morgan welcomed guests to the jungle for Halloween. The exotic theme vined its way into Los Angeles with an explorer’s club setting complete with a flamingo pond. At the bar, cocktails were served with LALO Spirits, the tequila brand co-founded by David R. Carballido. The stars were out in full force, with Paris Hilton arriving in full mushroomy glamour as she paid homage to popstar Katy Perry. Among those in attendance were: Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber, Camilla Mendes, Cara Delevinge, Dakota Fanning, Florence Pugh, Julia Garner, Meghan Fox, and more. Dancing well into the night became second nature. - Lauren Sanchez

Friday

A Celeb-Filled Fete, Hosted by Casamigos

A Los Angeles Halloween staple, the majority of Hollywood’s familiar faces flocked to Casamigos’ annual “Brought to You by Those Who Drink It” party to kick off the weekend. Tucked away at an undisclosed Beverly Hills estate, a floral garden marked the entryway to the bash, leading guests through an LED-lit tunnel before making their way to Wonderland (AKA a massive backyard area stocked with three custom bars). This year, George Clooney’s co-host Rande Gerber, along with Austin Butler, Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford, and Presley Gerber, evoked the ’50s and ’70s in unison, Austin donning his best Andy Warhol getup (camera in hand), and Kaia as his famous muse, Edie Sedgwick. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber, sans Hailey, arrived outfitted as a scuba diver (slippers and all as he sang alongside the DJ when Despacito hit the speakers); Paris Hilton was one of many to channel Britney Spears (see also Jessica Alba and Kelly Sawyer), while Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s first couples costume of the weekend was an ode to Kill Bill, as Gogo and the Uma Thurman-played Beatrix Kiddo. - Jamila Stewart

New York Restoration Project’s Annual Hulaween

On Friday, the festivities kicked off in spooky-chic style at Cipriani downtown for New York Restoration Project’s annual gala, Hulaween. The costume contest is legendary, and guests brought their A-game, from Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos in painterly Grateful Dead face paint to a caped Clive Davis holding court at a star table near the stage, where Chloe Bailey as Catwoman performed a musical medley the crowd. The award for Best Costume was crowned by Jordan Roth. The Broadway producer extraordinaire set the bar for showstopping fashion as the Evil Witch from Snow White. Beneath the Disney references? A feat of engineering as designer Zac Posen replaced the villain's usual petticoats with LED lights that left a cloud of smoke.

Boom’s Annual Halloween Bash

A “Rotten” evening ensued at the famed Boom Boom Room on Friday. The Standard’s Annual Halloween party hosted by Evan Mock and Badius played to guests' gory senses with a decaying theme to match. Videos of rotten fruit mauled by maggots played in the elevators whisking guests to the 18th floor. As the doors opened, red light seemed to pour from every corner, bouncing off the apple trees festooning the bar and surrounding areas. DJ Hank Korsan dressed as Scooby Doo had the crowd of Barbies, cowboys, and devils on their feet. Among those on the dance floor included: Ella Emhoff, Emira D’Spain, Simon Huck, Olivia Ponton, and LaQuan Smith. Lines could still be seen wrapping around the door as the witching hour approached. The night was spoiled in more ways than one. - Lauren Sanchez

Young Friends of Save Venice Host Inaugural “Haute Halloween” Masquerade

Guests were treated to a hauntingly good time at the Young Friends Save Venice cocktail party. The dress code did not disappoint, as more than 100 guests wore handmade masks and costumes worthy of a couturier. Amongst the revelers were a group of seven deadly sins and a couple of Queen of Hearts. With such a storied past, the recently remodeled Hotel Chelsea served as the perfect backdrop. Spooky tunes were spun by DJ Olivier Meiji, who managed to get everyone up to dance to Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind right before interlacing the beats of Wonderwall. Remarks were given by SVYF Chair Casey Kohlberg and President Mercedes de Guardiola, celebrating the fundraiser’s dedication to preserving historic art and architecture in Venice, Italy. “We’re so excited to build on the rich traditions of Save Venice for a new generation, and here’s to many more Haute Halloweens,” said Kohlberg. The first of many to come.

Artist Oliver Clegg and Art Dealer Michael Nevin’s Annual Halloween Party with Jon Neidich at The Nines

On Friday night in New York, the circus came to town. The Journal Gallery celebrated artist Oliver Clegg and his latest show (on view at The Gallery now). The man of the hour also played host alongside gallerist Michael Nevin and restaurateur Jon Neidich. The venue? The Nines, the leopard-carpeted piano bar on Great Jones Street. The "to the nines" dress code was gloriously more open-ended but true to form; the art set interpreted the theme as an opportunity to don top hats and tailcoats. The red-roomed supper club's pianist was joined by the band, where ringmasters, cotton candy vendors, caged plush tigers, models on stilt walkers, balloon-animal artists, and plate-spinning clowns reveled into the wee hours.
