Images of the Week: Madeleine Albright Dies at 84 

The first female secretary of state Madeleine Albright died this week at 84. President Bill Clinton appointed her as secretary of state in 1997, and she served in that capacity until 2001 when Clinton left office. 

The trailblazer passed just as the federal judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, Joe Biden’s nominee for the Supreme Court, was undergoing her four-day confirmation hearings. The judge accidentally went viral for photos of her with her husband and her daughter. As Republican representatives in Congress asked Brown Jackson a series of baffling and offensive questions, the judge kept her cool and it was clear that she had the full support of her family behind her. 

Outside of the world of politics, we got some levity this week. First, the welcome news that Harry Styles is dropping a new album, Harry’s House, on May 20. The singer posed for his album cover in a full custom Molly Goddard outfit. Can’t wait for the upcoming looks. At Vogue’s Forces of Fashion conference in New York, Vogue.com editor Chioma Nnadi sat down with Kim Kardashian.
