Images of the Week: Rihanna Gives Birth to a Baby Boy

Lovers of fashion have had plenty to feast their eyes upon this week. Starting with the Cannes Film Festival, which officially began on May 17. Celebrities including Viola Davis, Anne Hathaway, and Deepika Padukone have already stunned on the red carpet.

At a fortress in Puglia, Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele showed an eclectic collectsion called Cosmogies. It was intended to be shown as a rave, but the theatrical clothing had small details, like ruffs, that brought things back to the 13th century, when the venue was erected.

Over in Venice Beach, California, Kim Jones and guest designer Eli Russell Linnetz of ERL staged the Dior Men’s resort 2023 show. They used Linnetz’s birth year—1991—as the collectsion’s prime inspiration. As such, skater sneakers made an appearance.

But congratulations are in order to two A-List couples. First, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed a baby boy last week, which was revealed to the public on Thursday. Sadly (for us) that means no more maternity looks—but can you imagine the family portraits to come?

Finally, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Riley Roberts. She confirmed to Business Insider via Twitter DM that they had gotten engaged in her family’s hometown in Puerto Rico. Exciting news for both couples.
