All the Notable Attendees From Inauguration Day

Today’s inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris was a historic moment in the U.S., and the special day turned out an impressive guest list of politicians, stars, and more, all of whom turned up to show their support for the changing of the guard.

Top politicians were on hand at the U.S. Capitol to pay their respects during the ceremony. Among them were former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, who stunned in a plum Sergio Hudson ensemble. Former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, former first lady Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Mike Pence and wife, Karen Pence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Texas Senator Ted Cruz were also in attendance, although former President Donald Trump was, famously, not. 

In a celebratory mood, Lady Gaga kicked off the inauguration wearing a custom Schiaparelli look to sing the national anthem. Shortly after, Jennifer Lopez also took to the stage in an all-white Chanel ensemble for special renditions of “This Land Is Your Land” and “America the Beautiful.” Another highlight of the day was Amanda Gorman, the youngest-ever Inaugural Poet, who read a powerful piece of poetry in a double-breasted yellow Prada coat and red headband. Singer Garth Brooks also performed, and Rev. Silvester Beaman, a Delaware pastor, delivered blessings as well.
