“Our mustard velvet settee is from Sofa.com. It’s such a great color. The blue column cushion is one of mine. The others are all from Svenskt Tenn. My partner works from home at this desk, which was inherited from his mother.”

“I’ve collectsed these framed butterflies over the years from eBay. The green glass and brass lamp—again, picked up by my partner—is from Ebury Trading. I enjoy mixing classical pieces of brown furniture, in walnut and mahogany, with quirkier pieces like this cacti vase, which comes from The Conran Shop.”

“This little tub chair, which I picked up in an antiques shop in Bristol, is covered in my ‘White Tiger’ print. The David Hockney poster above it is an exhibition poster from the Met. My partner found the yellow fish lamp at Atomic Antiques in Shoreditch. It sits beside a figure of Michelangelo, which came from my first trip to Rome when I was 18.”

“This table is from Ebury Trading. I love the fact that it’s marble topped. The colors are amazing—there’s this pale peachy pink mixed with bits of green. It’s classical but fun.”

“This bar was such a great find. It’s from Gallery 25 on the Pimlico Road. A pink light comes on when you open it up. We stash all our glassware in there. The shade on the right comes from Pentreath & Hall. I’m a huge fan of marbled papers.”

“I’m a big fan of mid-century materials like brass and bamboo. This bedside table is from Ebury Trading. It’s topped with a pineapple lamp from eBay.”

“I want to spend a bit more time on the bedroom. I have my eye on a print of Slim Aarons’s Poolside Gossip from Surface View to put above the bed. As soon as the throws I’m making are ready, they’ll join my Palm cushion and the blanket, which comes from Toast. I pick up my classic white bed linen from The White Company.”

“This mahogany cabinet was inherited from my partner’s mother. It’s nice and battered and has such good shape and proportion. I love this kind of classical furniture. We stash all our bed linen and towels in there.”

“The wallpaper is a big thing in the bathroom. We spent ages trying to find the right paper. It’s an English Arts and Crafts design called ‘Apothecary’s Garden’ by C.F.A Voysey. It’s printed by Trustworth Studios in Massachusetts. It sums up the Arts and Crafts movement for me. We put in tongue and groove paneling because the ceilings are very high. The mirror is an eBay find, and the blue marble toothbrush holder is from Pentreath & Hall.”
