Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn1/30Michael took this photo of me on the beach of our hotel, The Dunmore, when we arrived on the island—I love the color composition and the Technicolor quality to it.
Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn2/30My dear friend and London-based photographer Ithaka Roddam came by with a group of our closest friends to help me get ready. She took this photo of me standing on the porch of my wedding suite at The Dunmore, minutes before I slipped into my wedding dress.

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn5/30From left: These are three rings that hold great sentimental value to me; I wore each of them on our wedding day. The first one is a vintage H.Stern Sputnik ring, it belonged to my maternal grandmother, Vera Mallis. She was a natural beauty with a contagious laugh, an avid traveler, a culture addict—she brought this ring back from a trip to Brazil. My mother, Joanne Metcalf, gifted me the ring when I moved to New York to be with Michael. One could say it’s a lucky charm—I never take it off. The middle ring my father, Jim Lampley, gave to me to wear on the wedding day. It is literally 100 years old to the year and was my great-grandmother Mildred Askew Lampley’s engagement ring. The third ring is my family crest signet ring from Richard Ogden, my stepfather, Justin Metcalf’s, family jeweler in London. My mother and sisters each have one.

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn8/30These shoes were gifted to me prior to the wedding by Michael. I’ve always been a Roger Vivier enthusiast, and to be able to wear his exquisite shoes all night long felt like a real luxury.

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn10/30Java House is a stunning house where my in-laws stayed for the week of the wedding. I have fond memories of it, as it’s also the house where Michael and I stayed when we went on holiday after we got engaged. For tradition sake, Michael slept there the night before our wedding and got ready here with his groomsmen.
Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn11/30Proof that Brits do it better. The sensational Lily Bertrand-Webb, Lotte Andersen, Milica Kastner, and Aoife O’Brien snapped by Ithaka Roddam before entering the church.

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn16/30Our getaway cart! We embraced the local vibes with a golf cart covered in palm fronds and flowers with a coconut trailing behind. Immediately after the church ceremony, Michael and I jumped into the cart, tailing our marching band, and drove off to have some solo time prior to the next celebration.

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn18/30Our wedding tent, designed by our phenomenal wedding planners, Ben and Charlotte Simmons of Little Island Design. They did a magnificent job of creating an atmosphere that felt simultaneously elevated and bohemian. The hand-painted dance floor became a focal point for the guests—a real plus, as we wanted everyone dancing from beginning to end.

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn20/30This photo was taken at sunset before everyone arrived, hence the serene quality. We wanted to create an inviting area away from the wedding tent for people to drink under the stars, to rest their feet in between songs, to socialize, to smoke freely, and, most of all, to enjoy the beachscape throughout the night. Ben and Charlotte Simmons, along with their phenomenal team (Marisha is a rock star), created a breathtaking setting filled with palm trees, a fire pit, outdoor tented bar, wicker chairs, strings of tea lights floating between the trees, hurricane lamps, and white sofas covered with lime green and cerulean blue patterned pillows—a total dream.
Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn21/30The menus were hand-painted by my talented friend Alix Verley-Pietrafesa, the founder and visionary behind Alix of Bohemia. She designed and gifted Michael and I the cocktail menus and dinner menus for our wedding day.
Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn22/30For the wedding dinner aesthetic, we went with four long tables framing the dance floor. Each table was adorned with palm trees, lots of bamboo, white accents, rattan and wicker details, and fresh local red and fuchsia bougainvillea flowers intertwined with white roses. Michael and I steered clear of a wedding “color scheme” and decided to go with embracing colors, flowers, and materials that could be sourced locally and that complemented the ethereal white tent and the surrounding tropical environment.
