Erdem and Nordstrom Hosted An Ultra-Chic Dinner Celebrating the Label’s Pop-Up

It’s officially May, which means the city's Spring party circuit is in full swing. Case in point: Nordstrom’s Rickie De Sole and Erdem Moralioglu of his London-based namesake label hosted a swank dinner downtown to celebrate the launch of the brand’s latest collectsion with the retail giant.

Hosted inside the cozy corners of the West Village hotspot Don Angie, the evening saw the likes of Glenn Close, Tommy Dorfman, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Blake Abbie, Eva Chen, and many other fashionable figures sipping on a mix of Diet Coke and dirty martinis as trays of arancini and garlic flatbread were passed around. The intimate affair was a toast to the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway collectsion featuring seven pieces exclusively available at the brand’s Nordstrom pop-up from May 1st to June 2nd.

At 8 p.m. on the dot, guests were seated for dinner service. “We’re all so prompt! But we had to wait for Lynn [Yaeger],” De Sole teased to which guests regaled. “I’m just fashionably late! I had no idea we’d start on time!” Yaeger answered back. De Sole expressed her gratitude to Moralioglu, whom she had worked closely with since she joined Nordstrom in 2022. “Erdem created the most magical Spring/Summer show that inspired all of us with so much joy and beauty, and now we have a pop-up installation inspired by his show,” said De Sole. “This is the first dinner I’ve done in New York to celebrate a collectsion, and that’s all because of you Rickie, so thank you so much,” said Moralioglu in his speech.

Dozens of the Instagram-famous pinwheel lasagna from the Italian American bistro were served alongside plates of chrysanthemum salads buried under heaps of shaved parmesan, lemon-drizzled steak, and Japanese sweet potatoes doused in a rich, miso cream sauce. Conservations about Met Gala predictions bounced off walls, and musings about the upcoming parties of the season were all the rage. After all, the city comes alive when May arrives.
