Petar Petrov Celebrated His New Collection With an Intimate Dinner in Paris

On a chilly evening in Paris in the back room of the cult British Brasserie L’Entente, the Ukrainian-born, Viennese-based designer Petar Petrov brought friends of the brand together for the first time in two years.

Each place was marked with Ukrainian flag name tags and a QR code to view the fall 2022 collectsion, which was full of updated staples like leather jackets, tailored pieces, and lots of denim. “It's about pieces that you love and wear all the time,” explained Petrov. “It's about real clothes, what's really real and interesting, what’s the perfect leather jacket…” he adds.

Guests including TyLynn Nguyen, Tamu McPherson, Sarah Harris, Rajni Jacques, Alex Carl, and Sai de Silva dined on welsh rarebit and gin and tonics while the conversation flowed over more cocktails and dessert. The cozy environment made it easy for conversation among friends of the brand. It was also the first time the label made an appearance in Paris since the onset of the pandemic, and overall, the crowd was in a celebratory mood.

“I'm really happy to be back to Paris after two years of working on the different challenging conditions,” added Petrov. “I think fashion is about evolution, and I think during the most difficult times, how we reflect our environment and what people really need and what they want.”

Friends of the brand wore signature pieces from the designer, including rustic leather jackets, oversized button-down dresses that can be converted into new forms, and colorful tailored blazers. “ I think this is the first time I felt like we’re coming back to our normality,” he added. “Of course, there are new challenges coming to us, and I think we need to sustain and support creativity in times like these.”
