Allow us to be frank: Fashion Week is a bit of a misnomer. What with the global sprawl of shows—from New York to London to Milan to Paris—it really should be Fashion Month. (Or Fashion Forever.) Either way, what better way to kick off the marathon of shows, after-parties, flights, and appointments than with our comprehensive A-to-Z guide to all things Fashion Week? Here, find out what to do, eat, see, wear, and keep your eye on this season.

A.P.C.’s sixth and final collectsion with Vanessa Seward will be unveiled this month, before the brand fully backs Seward’s stand-alone label of ready to wear and accessories for fall 2015. Expect more of the same gamine, flattering, la Parisienne–inflected looks that have garnered the designer legions of fans.

Bespoke is the word on everyone’s lips this season, from Burberry’s initial-emblazoned blanket ponchos to Anya Hindmarch’s bespoke shop opening at Bergdorf’s and Rag & Bone’s hotly coveted monogrammed jackets. It’s never been a better time to wear your heart (or name) on your sleeve.

Marni is taking its floral influence one step further, opening a public flower market at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan on September 21—with an array of artful projects and creative components to interact with the community. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take home a piece of the action, courtesy of Marni-crafted vases, ceramic pots, shopping bags, hand-painted aprons, and gardening tool bags, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to local children’s organizations.

**Hedi Slimane’**s show in Paris—“Sonic,” at the Fondation Pierre Bergé–Yves Saint Laurent (September 18, 2014–January 11, 2015)—depicts fifteen years of musical archives and a video installation juxtaposing the musical cycles of London and California in a documentary style: two generations of performers and their fans. Expect a lot of ripped tights.
