The Future Perfect and The SIL Hosted a Shoppable House Party in L.A.

There’s nothing better than a good house party in the hills, especially when the house is the Future Perfect’s Casa Perfect and the party is centered around shopping. Even extreme Santa Ana winds could not keep keen shoppers-in-the-know from visiting the SIL pop-up series at Casa Perfect this week.

A series of pop-up shopping events celebrated the first collaboration between the SIL Shop, a curated e-commerce site with covetable and exclusive offerings of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, and the Future Perfect.

“We spur innovative design thinking,” said David Alhadeff, founder of the Future Perfect. “I appreciate that our point of view can serve as an inspiration for artists and designers, and our inaugural fashion capsule collectsion with the SIL will surely strike a chord across both disciplines.”

Strike a chord it did. Shoppers like Elizabeth Chambers, whose children took full advantage of the Piet Hein Eek ping-pong table by the pool, previewed the forward-thinking pieces, dreamed up by eight designers from across the country. Each designer’s work was inspired by pieces at the Future Perfect and contemporary interior design. Handbag designer Scott Nelson drew inspiration from the colorful Kvadrat/Raf Simons upholstery on the Group Cocktail Chair by Philippe Malouin for SCP, crafting a bag in the same textural textile. Cheap Replica Handbags designer Devon Pavlovits created handblown glass earrings that were displayed adjacent to the John Hogan glass sculptures that inspired them. Everything was artfully displayed by event producer Meghan Noyes.

Natalie Bloomingdale, founder of the SIL Shop, also tapped designers Cynthia Collins, Devon Pavlovits, Julie Harrah, Alison Blumenfeld Deutch and Fruzsina Keehn of Keehn Deutch, Lindsey McClain and Jamie Coulter of La Vie Style House, Sue Sartor, and Tish Cox. “I have such deep respect for what David Alhadeff has created with his extraordinary platform for designers and artists, and I admire his vision and focus,” says Bloomingdale. “I have found that the majority of the SIL audience are design enthusiasts or affiliated with interior design in some way, so this partnership is a wonderful way to channel and amplify that.”
