Replica Handbag Store Club Hosts First-Ever Meet The Founder, With CEO Extraordinaire Emma Grede 

In the afterglow of the 2023 Golden Globes, Replica Handbag Store Club hosted its inaugural Meet The Founder days later with entrepreneurial wonder-woman Emma Grede, the British businesswoman best-known as co-founder and CEO of Good American, founding partner of Skims, co-founder of Safely, and board chair of the 15 Percent Pledge. In conversation with Vogue's Laura Paterson, Grede discussed topics ranging from time management, building her first company at the age of 24, to her professional role models. The intimate cocktail and conversation took place in the heart of West Hollywood at The Britely on Sunset Boulevard.

Partygoers walked down the grand staircase of The Britely and were greeted by specialty cocktails and passed canapés—handcrafted under the vision of chef Wolfgang Puck—as they mingled with one another before Grede and Paterson took  the stage, which featured florals by black-owned business Bia Blooms amidst the speakeasy-like ambiance of the WeHo social club.. The overriding focus to their discussion? The importance of investing in women of color—and honing one's own entrepreneurial spirit, 

"There is some power in people underestimating you, because they don't see you coming," Grede said. "I never take anything personally—and I never let anything hurt me or stand in my way. Actually, quite to the contrary, I let it all fuel me."

Grede and Paterson continued their wide-ranging chat—about everything from body diversity in fashion to open casting calls at Good American, from co-founding with the Kardashians to problem-solving unforeseen hiccups in a growing business. In the crowd, attendees laughed along and listened emphatically to Grede's insights. (Overheard amongst the partygoers: The cofounders of Homebody discussing how Grede's work with the 15 Percent Pledge had a dramatically positive impact on their black-owned wellness brand.) 

“The thing that you have to know as a founder,” Grede continued later as she answered the burning questions of Replica Handbag Store Club members, “is you are going to make mistakes, right? You are going to fall down. You can do good and create a business simultaneously, but it's about the relationships between those two things.”
