Designer Becca McCharen and Christine Tran’s Dance-Party Wedding in New York

Dinner was about us—a combination of traditional Vietnamese foods from Christine’s family’s country and Southern foods from my side. Catered by Linda and Julie at Little Mo, they created Vietnamese bao and spring rolls; Christine’s mom, Van, brought a fruit plate; we had fried chicken, collard greens, and mac and cheese from Peaches HotHouse in Bed-Stuy; pizza from Roberta’s; donuts from Peter Pan. Our wedding cake was from Ovenly, and featured a 3-D-printed cake topper of us. We were body-scanned by our friends and long-time collaborators at Formlabs.The entire night was magical, filled with so much love from friends and family. After the wedding, we hit the road on a 10-day trip to New Orleans and stopped in Nashville; Atlanta; the NASA center in Huntsville, Alabama; Choctaw, Mississippi; Savannah, Georgia; and Asheville and Southport in North Carolina along the way!
