Missoni: Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear

Angela Missoni has worked wonders for her family label.

This season I think it's interesting

to see the way she incorporates her personality

with the heritage of the house.

So for Missoni today, it's very simple.

It's straight to the point.

It's very sexy and feminine girls,

so it's all about the eyes.

It's a beautiful complexion, with a touch of blush.

Very not trendy.

[Tim] Sometimes with Missoni, I feel with you,

that you're battling this sort of,

battling the legacy of the house in a way,

and sometimes you're at peace with it.

And it feels to me in this collectsion,

you're very much at peace with the heritage of the house.

I do think I'm very much at peace with the heritage.

And because it's such a strong heritage,

with such potential, it really allows you

to work it in the way you please every season.

[Tim] What do you think the place of Missoni is

in Italian fashion at the moment?

Well, for me, Missoni sort of always represents

the history of Italian fashion,

what it sort of stands for.

What it's demonstrating is that, really,

Missoni is a kind of a look,

if you like, for all generations.

Basically the silhouette went really skinny,

and it's all hinged with the corsets,

and the belts, and the cuts of the dresses.

Missoni means glamour and fun

and fashion and it's,

I think that because we cater to a global woman,

a woman who lives in Europe

or who lives in the United States,

so many of our customers love it

for its sort of jetset nature.

This collectsion embodies that.
