Last Week, Stars Took Glamour From Head to Toe

Less is often more, but that wasn’t the case last week for the world’s most stylish, who chose show-stopping fashion with all the outré trimmings. Naturally, Rihanna led the pack in Swarovski-covered Alexandre Vauthier, sparkling Andy Wolf sunglasses, and matching Manolos for her Savage x Fenty extravaganza at the Barclays Center. Meanwhile, at Rihanna’s Diamond Ball, Jodie Turner-Smith took Gucci’s mirrored and fringed LBD to the next level by wearing it with one of the brand’s Mickey Mouse totes, and Madisin Rian paired her 3-D printed ombré Iris van Herpen gown with equally dramatic earrings from Oscar de la Renta. Irreverence and shimmer ruled the night!

The playful, vital mood continued at London Fashion Week, where front row regulars favored bold colors and wild patterns. At Halpern, Lady Mary Charteris rocked a metallic mixed-print jumpsuit that complemented her pastel pink hair. Molly Goddard’s show brought out plenty of the designer’s tulle-clad muses, but none as lovely as Adwoa Aboah, who brought Goddard’s fuchsia ruffles down to earth with the addition of patent ballet flats and a heritage logo bag from Gucci.
