Rose Byrne dressed like a winner in waiting at the 2026 Oscars.
Byrne, who was nominated for best actress for her role in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, embraced Old Hollywood glamour over the course of the 2026 awards season (see: the green Chanel Atonement-esque dress she wore to the Golden Globes). The Academy Awards were no exception: she went out with a bang in custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson, based on Look 35 from his couture debut.
Byrne wore a black crepe strapless dress with blooming three-dimensional flowers embroidered along the bodice and hem. But instead of the asymmetrical, drapey dress that walked the spring 2026 couture runway, Byrne opted for a classic mermaid silhouette. Stylist Kate Young finished off the look with Taffin jewelry, including a sculptural necklace with an inverted 16.54 Ashoka-cut diamond cognac diamond pendant. On the beauty front, the actor kept it classic in a sleek low bun and a striking red lip.
After hitting the stage with her Bridesmaids co-stars—Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Ellie Kemper—she hit the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. There, she traded her mermaid gown for a two-piece look from Dior: a strapless crop top and maxi skirt embellished with tiers of beaded fringe.
Between her ultra-glam ceremony dress and her celebratory after-party two-piece, Rose Byrne met the moment at the 2026 Oscars.
