The 2026 Oscars truly saw the stars save their most eye-popping looks for last. How best could Love Story’s Sarah Pidgeon enjoy the grand finale of awards season and her first-ever Oscars weekend? By wearing custom Calvin Klein Collection, of course—an ode to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, with a contemporary twist.

Pidgeon joined the celebrity masses in attending the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where she wore a platinum crystal-and-sequin-encrusted floor-length Calvin Klein Collection gown with micro spaghetti straps (a signature CK design detail), front overlap detailing, and a deconstructed neckline. She styled it simply, with a brushed-silver clutch shaped like a CK One fragrance bottle, and the strappy Ellsie heels by Stuart Weitzman. Her blonde hair was worn straight and long, in a middle part.

Her choice of gown—from its designer to the sophisticated cut—spoke to the style lexicon of the character she portrays on television and the real-life Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. CBK, who established the vocabulary for ’90s minimalist fashion, kept things cool and nonchalant on any red carpet or starry event she attended, favoring Calvin Klein but also Yohji Yamamoto, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Alexander McQueen.

Still, with its shimmering fabrications, Pidgeon’s look offered a modern and decidedly more playful statement, very much in keeping with her personal style. Earlier in the weekend, she joined her costar Paul Anthony Kelly at Charles Finch and Chanel’s annual pre-Oscars party, wearing a periwinkle sequin slip from Matthieu Blazy’s Métiers d’Art 2026 collectsion. (Pidgeon told Vogue she felt “like a mermaid” and loved the “superchic toothpaste” color.)

Sparkles and that little bit of extra something were the name of the game across the 2026 Oscar evening, from flashes of red and pastel to feathers.

For glam, makeup—by Shayna Gold—was kept glowy and natural, with a soft blush, cupid’s bow-accentuated lip, and muted smoky eye. Nails, by Iram Shelton, followed the same rhythm, using The GelBottle’s Soft BIAB™ and Extreme Shine Top Coat: “I went for restraint as a statement and collaboratively worked with Sarah’s stylist,” Shelton tells Vogue. “I let the nails look healthy and expensive, without being a distraction. It’s ’90s minimalism at its finest.”

And what makes a Sarah Pidgeon fit? Think cool Celine peplum jackets, silky pieces from New York fave Colleen Allen, and Prada leathers, as well as It-girl accessories like the Loewe Amazona bag and a Bvlgari Rodeo tan tote. On red carpets, her fashions are veering both experimental and pretty, like the pastel pink Balenciaga balloon dress she wore to the 2026 Actor Awards.
