The Best Street Style From Tbilisi Fashion Week Fall 2019

Now’s the time of year when there seems to be a fashion show every week—and in every corner of the globe. Dior, Prada, and Chanel already have their Resort 2020 shows behind them (in Marrakech, New York, and Paris, respectively), and the rest of our schedule reads like the itinerary of a particularly ambitious trip: Sydney, Monaco, Tokyo, Berlin, Shanghai . . . . Before the fashion flock embarks on that journey, though, many of them are spending a few days in Tbilisi for the city’s Fall 2019 shows. The Georgian capital has become an incubator of sorts for up-and-coming designers in recent years, and its locals are synonymous with a daring, cutting-edge brand of street style. Style du Monde’s Acielle is on the ground shooting the best looks, and so far, they cover a broad spectrum: streetwear, tons of neon, a fair amount of minimalism, and, more surprising, a lot of feathers—just in time for a very camp Met Gala red carpet.
