Jennifer Lawrence’s casual spring style is in full bloom.
While she’s already paraded around New York in statement flats and fashion’s favorite flip-flop, today Lawrence introduced another warm-weather staple: the fancy pants.
The actor, who was spotted pushing her baby in his stroller, dressed for a casual stroll in a red long-sleeve polo and breezy pink Siedrés pants. The lightweight trousers were the focal point of the outfit, embellished with silver sequins and studs.
There are multiple lessons to be taken from Lawrence’s styling choices. As seen in her recent Canadian tuxedo endeavor, Lawrence is not afraid to accessorize a bold look. Today, supplementing her statement pants, she added a pair of mustard yellow flats, a long beaded Tory Burch necklace with a seashell pendant, and oversized black Thistles sunglasses.
Her color choices also lent some visual intrigue. While J.Law is a noted fan of “pop of red” styling, her decision to pair the bold cherry hue with the analogous salmon pink—rather than a neutral or a complementary color—provided a bit of welcome sartorial friction.
But, perhaps most importantly, Jennifer Lawrence reminds us that one can look put-together while still keeping it casual. With her pair of elaborate pull-on pants, she didn’t have to sacrifice her comfort for the sake of looking cool.
