The amfAR soiree always qualifies as one of the most glamorous of Milan’s Fashion Week—and this year was no exception. A bevvy of models, fashion designers, and entrepreneurs, together with the crème de la crème of Milanese society, mingled on the red carpet, celebrating good deeds in a sparkling, festive atmosphere. Presented by Harry Winston and held at the La Permanente museum space, the black-tie gala dinner raised an hefty $1.4 million for the foundation, which, over years of relentless commitment, has been able to really make a difference in the global fight against AIDS. This year’s honoree was Angela Missoni, who was feted with sincere enthusiasm by the glamorous community and presented with the Award of Courage. It felt both prestigious and deeply meaningful.
