Last night, if you found yourself on New York City‘s Kenmare Street, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d somehow wandered some 3,800 miles across the Atlantic to Copenhagen. At Nolita’s much buzzed-about De Maria, Frederik Bille Brahe (the Danish chef behind Copenhagen’s Apollo Bar and Kantine and Atelier September) took the reins for one night only to celebrate the launch of his kitchen market collaboration with Hay (available exclusively at Soho’s MoMA Design Store), drawing in a crowd of hip New Yorkers eager to experience his simple yet stunning fare and Danish insiders who count him not only as the maker of their preferred meals, but also a close friend.
