It represents travel between the different realms and to wear the dragonfly at the throat is to be able to speak from your inner voice. The star tarot card [far right] is all about following your dreams, while the sphere [center] is the world tarot. It’s about realizing that you are a part of everything that’s happening here and it will help you to remember that you’re connected to it all. No matter what happens today, the world will keep turning.”

Feathers represent the idea of being able to move with the wind. It can change direction at any second, but it doesn’t matter, you just go with it. Wind also represents claritys in thought and communication and they are a connection between wind and spirit. Our main spirit house is our heart, so where she is wearing the feather is allowing a lot of movement to the spirit.”

Wearing these materials around the heart is very activating. I think the key is more symbolic within modern culture—like the keys to your heart. Sometimes it’s less about the image and more about the elements of the talisman.”

The conch shape is telling you that there’s more to be seen, reminding you to keep going deeper, to keep digging and follow that inner spiral. When the shells are more open, like with an abalone, for example, that’s really where good luck and abundance come from. Wearing anything from the ocean is total receptivity medicine. The ocean is the most feminine place on earth. It’s the womb of us all. You go to her and no matter who you are, if you lay back, she will support you.”

Red is usually woven into various parts of a shaman’s ceremonial wardrobe, with beading at specific power points on the body. Here, there’s a lot of protection at the throat. You would wear this if you wanted to protect something you’re saying—if you have a public speaking engagement, wear red.”
