The 2018 Golden Globes marked a shift for Hollywood, red carpet coverage, and awards season as we know it. On January 1, Hollywood’s most powerful women unveiled Time’s Up, an action plan that takes aim at sexual harassment and the industry’s systemic power imbalance. The initiative’s most outward-facing aspect was rolled out at tonight’s awards show, with many attendees choosing to wear black evening dresses in solidarity with the movement.
