Everyone Was at the Gucci x Mickalene Thomas Book Party in Miami

Walking distance from last night’s Miu Miu party and right above ZZ’s—Miami’s hottest dining club—a private event space was transformed in the name of Gucci. The Italian fashion house did not miss the beat when conceptualizing and executing what reflected Mickalene Thomas’s signature 1970s vibe. Especially with a massive light installation upon entrance.

Guests—major clients of the brand and modern-day bon vivants—traveled from near and far and danced their souls out in honor of the brand-new Phaidon coffee table book titled Monograph by renowned artist Mickalene Thomas and her wife, Racquel Chevremont. Far from your average book signing, united by mirrors, bold colors, and disco energy, guests were invited to have their personal Monograph books signed by Thomas.

Eventually, the utmost talented DJ Kitty Ca$h took the stage, and everyone was dancing in between bites from James Beard award-winning chef Nina Compton. Just some of the few attendees included Brooke Shields, Chloe and Brooke Wise, Derrick Adams, Devon Windsor, Lauren Remington Platt, Leigh Lezark, Lili Buffet, Selah Marley, and Selby Drummond.
