With a Cocktail Soirée, De Beers Group Toasted Harwell Godfrey and Her Latest Charitable Collection

There are few sexier cocktail bars in the city than the ultra dimly lit and checkerboarded floored Temple Bar; so it was a perfect location to celebrate CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist Harwell Godfrey and her latest collaboration with De Beers Group. 

‘I actively choose all the charities that I want to get behind and donate money to. Gun safety is such a critical issue right now. I want to be able to do something to help fight for this cause that I care about as an American citizen, a mom, and for all of our safety,” Lauren Harwell Godfrey told Vogue, wearing a dazzling ruby pendant necklace from her collectsion Cleopatra’s Vault. 

“I have a series of charity hearts and I've raised over $250,000 so far for five other charities. This pendant is the sixth in the series, and this one is unique because I’m working with De Beers Group on the diamonds that I'm using in these heart pendants,” Lauren Harwell Godfrey told Vogue. “The diamonds are from their code of origin series, which is really cool because it's a traceable program which tells exactly where these diamonds came from.”

Soirée attendees sipped on espresso martinis, specialty margaritas, and selections of wines galore while marveling at Harwell Godfrey’s glistening pendant for a remarkable cause. Guests included Debra Messing, Eva Chen, Rickie De Sole, Allie Michler Kopelman, Edward Barsamian, Casey Fremont, Carlie Cushnie, Charlotte Groeneveld, Sarah Hoover, Sophie Sumner, and many more from New York’s bustling fashion community. As the evening came to a close, partygoers took their last bites of delicious hors d'oeuvres and ventured off into the evening, only just beginning the NYFW marathon of this season.
