“Since spending the weekend at the rustic and very charming The Graham & Co. hotel in the Catskills last fall, I’ve been kicking myself for not having snapped up a few of their Holywood room diffusers, which are sold only at the property and diffuse the air with the perfect subtle cold-weather scent of warm smoked wood and amber. In this age of Internet shopping, the fact that I can’t get them anywhere else makes them seem that much more elusive and luxurious.”

“I tend to have a ridiculous weakness for high-priced natural beauty products, so I’d love to receive a haul from somewhere like CAP Beauty. Pai Skincare is such a great brand and I’d love to try their body products like the comfrey and calendula calming body cream. I’d be happy to get an RMS Beauty Master Mixer and Shiva Rose bath salts. Isabelle Bellis’s rose water is also at the top of my list.”

“I’m not often one for a room spray; I’m more of a candle girl. Truthfully, the idea of wandering around the room spraying mist into the air always seemed so . . . odd, I suppose. However that all changed during one of my (regular) visits to Cire Trudon. The shape of the bottle, the brushed bronze hardware, and the fact it’s one of my all-time favorite scents simply sealed the deal. If I can’t be in Havana, I’m going to bring Havana to me.”

“I would want the things I already love pre-booked for the year so I don’t have to think twice about maintaining my body, skin, or mind. Twice-a-week classes with Taryn Toomey for equal parts cardio, strength training, and catharsis. A year of monthly facials with Joanna Vargas for glowing skin and higher cheekbones. One week-long (or, since this is technically my wish list, month-long) silent meditation retreat at Spirit Rock Meditation Center for some very necessary mental housecleaning and energy recalibration. And last, but certainly not least, quarterly check-ins with healer Deborah Hanekamp, for her ability to navigate the cobwebs of my brain and my emotional responses with alarming claritys and compassion. If you’re not drinking the proverbial Kool-Aid by the end of your first session, you’ll certainly be asking her to pencil you into her next open appointment.”

“I’m obsessed with this organic line of hair products called Yarok; their products for curlys have been a godsend as the weather has gotten colder. They offer a fully organic custom hair and scalp treatment at their kitchen beauty salon that I’ve got on my wish list. It’s blended from fresh avocados, coconut, and essential oils—literally the most nourishing, natural smoothie you can give dry hair like mine.”

“I always want the Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in the shade that was featured in the original ad. I saw it on the back of a magazine when it first came out in 2010 and have been wearing it ever since! The big fear is that they will one day discontinue the color, so I’m always looking to stock up.”

“For the past year, the bulk of my beauty routine has revolvesd around caring for my delicate, double-processed hair. Dyson’s Supersonic Hair Dryer is the perfect tool to safely style fragile lengths, while the sleek, futuristic design—and flash of hot pink color—are a fun addition to the vanity.”

“I personally would never spend $50 on hand lotion, but I’m not at all opposed to someone else gifting me Buly 1803’s pomade. Not only does it smell divine, but the chic packaging was practically made for Instagram.”

“I’m a creature of habit, so there are a few things that I always rely on to try to look my best. Dr. David Colbert’s Illumino anti-aging brightening mask leaves my skin refreshed and recharged, while touch-ups to get that extra glow come from Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder’s Morning Aura and La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion. And thanks to José Eber’s micro-hair straightener, my bang is always in the right direction.”

“I can’t imagine a better way to spend a winter’s day than at The Greenwich Hotel’s Shibui Spa, which is perhaps the most luxurious space I’ve ever set foot in. From the kimono robes to the lantern-lit swimming pool, any time spent there is a completely relaxing, indulgent experience. A massage (or, really, any of their treatments) is at the top of my Christmas wish list every year!”
