Egg Collective, which was founded by three female designers six years ago, has always emphasized female empowerment. Putting their money where their mouths are, 20 percent of all sales go to benefit Girls, Inc. of New York City.

New York–based design firm Apparatus has a full new line of lighting and furniture on display. The collectsion, which also includes design objects, was inspired by early-20th-century European design, particularly Viennese pieces and the Art Deco movement.

Isamu Noguchi and Robert Stadler are featured in the meditative installation, “Waiting Room: Noguchi/Stadler.” This is the first time Noguchi’s work has been paired with that of a contemporary designer.
