The very best supporting act to a show-stopping gown at a red carpet event? An equally good manicure. The stars arrived at the Oscars 2023 wearing all manner of different nail looks, from minimalist and nude to deep red, embellished, and sparkling designs. As one might expect from an Oscars-worthy manicure, a little shimmer and shine was one of the night’s resounding nail trends, with stars—including Michelle Williams, Jessica Chastain, and Rihanna—experimenting with metallic finishes, glittery tips, and high shine, glossy finishes.
