Photo: Corbin Gurkin1/19The leather and cloth baby shower invitations were made by my friend Brenna Berger at BB Paper & Ink.
Photo: Corbin Gurkin2/19The wall color is Sultan’s Palace by Benjamin Moore, and we found the sheepskin rug at One Kings Lane. We chose the Snoo bassinet from Happiest Baby for its clean lines and safety features.

Photo: Corbin Gurkin4/19The salon-style walls of art include pieces from travels to Provence, Moscow, Thailand, and India and original works by friends. We’ve mixed in family mementos, including a darling childhood photograph of my mother on a pony and a menu autographed to my aunt from Walt Disney. The gold shamrock Dresden wreath is a flea market find and a special reminder of our wedding in Ireland. The nautilus lamps were gifted to us by a family friend and are a subtle nod to Charleston.
Photo: Corbin Gurkin5/19The small gold animal toys were made by a friend and were part of our baby shower decor. They’re some of my favorite pieces in the nursery now.

Photo: Corbin Gurkin8/19The green-painted crib, which we had restored so the sides no longer drop, was my little sister’s when she was a baby and will be used once the bassinet is outgrown. The crib skirt came from Anthropologie, and I then dyed it to match the crib canopy, which was originally a table runner at our wedding. The adorable toy storage bin is a Danish piece from Design Life Kids.
Photo: Corbin Gurkin9/19The classic French teething toy called Sophie and a few of what are sure to be favorite things.
Photo: Corbin Gurkin10/19The sterling rattle was mine as a child and recently passed down to me by my mother.
Photo: Corbin Gurkin11/19The blue ceramic planter resting on our Lucite bar cart was purchased in Siena during my years living abroad in Tuscany.
Photo: Corbin Gurkin12/19There’s such meaning in each of the pieces. I love the small framed elephant card that rests above the crib—a valentine my husband gave me in India 11 years ago. And the butterfly specimen collectsions are quite special to me. I’ve collectsed them for years and feel like they’ve finally found their perfect place in our home.
Photo: Corbin Gurkin13/19The tiny cloud mobile is by Baby Jives Co. and was a fabulous shower gift from ABC Carpet & Home.

Photo: Corbin Gurkin16/19The Peter Rabbit cup and saucer set and sterling cutlery belonged to me as a child and were given to me by my mother on a recent visit home.

Photo: Corbin Gurkin18/19I purchased fabric on a recent trip to London and had the baby clothes handmade by friend Nora Halim, using both French and Japanese sewing patterns.
